Inclusion Support Subsidy Funding

From 1 January 2009, the Inclusion Support Subsidy (ISS) is administered nationally by KU Children’s Services, the National ISS Provider (NISSP). The ISS is paid to support child care services to include children with high ongoing support needs so that they can be cared for in environments with typically developing peers. The ISS is a contribution towards the cost associated with employing an additional carer or educator. It is also a Capacity Payment made to Family Dare Care educators and In Home Carers in recognition of the additional care required by children with ongoing high support needs. The ISS is limited to a flat hourly rate, which is determined by the Department and is indexed annually.

How to apply for the Inclusion Support Subsidy? From the 3rd Octoboer all applications for ISS funding are submitted through an online portal. Our Inclusion Support Facilitors will support you through this process. Please complete a ‘Referral Form’ and return to us at the Inclusion Support Agency. We will then contact you to arrange an initial visit from one of our Inclusion Support Facilitator’s.

Midway Review
Under the current agreement with the Inclusion Professional Support Program, each service with ISS Funding is required to complete a Midway Review form to capture their needs at a midway point in the funding. A Midway Review Form is required to be completed at this time and returned to the Inclusion Support Agency for reviewing.
